Disable confirmation dialogue when moving files in iCloud

If you’re an iCloud Drive user, then you’re probably familiar with the alert that pops up, interrupting your flow, when you try to move a file outside of iCloud Drive.

Unless you’ve spent a lot of time deep-diving through the different options available in your computer’s settings, then this is one of the preferences you may have missed, but one that’s easy once you know where to find it.

To turn this setting on or off in MacOS 13 Ventura, from the desktop or a Finder window, go to Finder > Settings > Advanced and turn off “Show warning before removing from iCloud Drive”. (This has been available since MacOS 10.12 Sierra, under Finder > Preferences > Advanced)
